Become the Future Talent of Thiess
We are searching for a diverse range of enthusiastic and talented people to begin their trade career as part of the Thiess 2024 Apprenticeship Program. By completing an apprenticeship at one of the Thiess mines in New South Wales, you will join the Future Talent of Thiess.
Thiess is offering a 4-year structured program where we pride ourselves on producing some of the best tradespersons in the resources industry.
Important Information
- 1 July 2024 start date
- Positions are not available for current apprentices who have already started an apprenticeship in the same field
- Paid fly-in fly-out is not available for these positions
Requirements
- For 2023 Year 12 school leavers - a pass in English and Mathematics (not required for mature age applicants (over 21))
- COVID Vaccination Certificate - Client requirement for entry to selected sites
- Hold a current Australian drivers licence (provisional accepted, manual preferred)
- You will need to be self-motivated and have a mature attitude to complete the required studies
What you receive upon completion
- A nationally recognised trade qualification
- Standard 11 (QLD only)
- First Aid Certificate
- Working at Heights Certificate
- 4WD Defensive Driver Training Course
- College fees and associated costs paid for by Thiess
- The chance to work with and learn from some of the best tradespersons in the industry

We are offering apprenticeships across our NSW projects, however this is indication only and positions and locations are subject to change.
