Bluestar is expanding our operations team and is now looking for an experienced Fleet Operator with extensive experience in the Sydney metro and regional areas, to join the team. About the Role:
Working closely within our team to avoid scheduling and customer issues, assist in maintaining an efficient and productive operation ensuring outcomes are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet our client’s needs. This is a full-time position based out of our Erskine Park transport office.
This role will be ensuring the maintenance and services to the company fleet is kept up to date all times and follow up on driver related issues and disciplines as required.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Scheduling fleet utilisation to maximise profitability
- Monitor staff KPI's including delivery window targets
- Build and maintain an effective and successful relationship with the customer and all key stakeholders
- Understanding the customer's site needs and educating our drivers
- Work closely within our operations to avoid scheduling and customer issues.
- Managing scanning and on road GPS tracking
About you
As a tech savvy individual with a high attention to detail and excellent time management, you will have a strong commitment to drive safety and compliance across our business. Your ability to work in an open, collaborative, and inclusive manner across all areas within our team will ensure success in this role.
You will have:
- At least 3-4 years’ experience within transport operations environment
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities
- A strong understanding of fatigue management, load restraint and mass management.
- Strong work ethic with a passion and commitment for continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt to the constant changing demands and pressures of the role.
- Effective communication and liaise with management – written and verbal.
- The capability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
- A high level of planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying situations.
