Job description

SEA Global are inviting applications to join our 2025 Graduate Program and work with our team in the Perth CBD. We are searching for engineers who are curious and passionate about engineering and problem-solving and who are eager to learn SEA Global’s unique data-driven approach.

Graduate engineers will be incorporated into project teams alongside experienced engineers, providing an opportunity to develop new skills while contributing new perspectives and ideas to the team. In parallel, SEA Global will provide training and support to learn scientific programming techniques and discipline knowledge.

The SEA Global Graduate Program

SEA Global is an independent consultancy that specialises in detailed engineering and project delivery, working with global clients and projects from our office in the Perth CBD. With a team of approximately 60 highly skilled engineers, including both graduates and seasoned professionals, we collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems for clients worldwide. Our expertise spans civil, mechanical, structural, electrical and chemical engineering disciplines, and we pride ourselves on offering quality, tailored advice and insights to companies managing significant infrastructure assets.  Our graduate development program nurtures talented engineers into confident professionals. Throughout the program, we focus on three key areas:

  • Applied engineering: Applying theoretic knowledge to real-world challenges, understanding client requirements, industry standards, and best practices to develop innovative solutions systematically.

  • Automation: Applying automation techniques, including our in-house Python-based toolkit and industry-leading engineering software, to explore and solve technical challenges. No prior knowledge or experience is required. All training will be provided in-house while working on projects alongside peers who have gone through the process themselves. Note: No prior knowledge or experience digital automation is required; all training will be provided in-house while working on projects alongside peers who have gone through the process themselves

  • Professional practice: Developing essential professional skills such as project management, report writing, client interaction, presentation skills, and using organisational tools in a technical engineering environment.

SEA Global are leading the world in applying automated engineering techniques to real-world problems, providing new insights to conventional operational issues, and tackling complex, multi-disciplinary technical problems that can’t be solved otherwise.

Our dynamic team of engineers is highly skilled, passionate about engineering, with a deep curiosity to learn, and share, new skills offering an exciting environment to accelerate your professional growth.

Is it going to be great for my career?

An engineering career starting at SEA will expose you to real world problems and allow you to apply the theory taught at university under the guidance of experienced engineers. It will also give you an insight into how a consulting company functions, including workload prioritisation, workflow processes and quality review checking.

SEA is the front runner of merging data analytics with engineering. As a Graduate Engineer with SEA, you will use and create digital automated workflows based on industry-accepted programming languages to transform data into insightful information for our clients and enable them to drive decisions with confidence. The result is you will be working within a modernised engineering environment, with integrated, cross-discipline tools that are capable of delivering demanding projects to our clients.

“SEA has been a great place to learn as they are at the forefront of merging data analytics with engineering. As a Graduate Engineer, you'll apply cutting-edge data analytics techniques to engineering challenges and learn the importance of automated engineering workflows for reliable results. Despite my limited programming skills when starting, the support and willingness to help from the people at SEA has been amazing. It’s been a great opportunity and a lot of fun!”

- Graduate engineer, commenced in 2023

Is this a good place to work?

The culture at SEA is unique. We are proud of our collaborative work environment, where our team work together to tackle challenges and deliver the best. Our team are highly skilled and knowledgeable with the spirit of knowledge-sharing and continual learning firmly grounded in our values.

“SEA offered me the opportunity to learn through formal training courses, informal lunchtime presentations, and from having a collaborative company atmosphere where I'm encouraged to ask questions. Being surrounded by experienced high-achieving engineers means that I am always encouraged to learn new skills, even if it seems daunting at first.”

- Engineer, commenced in 2020

SEA’s working arrangements are genuinely flexible and everyone is supportive of you as a team member as well as person with priorities and motivations outside of the workplace.

“SEA’s management, project managers and team members all have an unspoken respect for each individual’s personal priorities. Even at the interview stage, I was asked “What do you need?” which was refreshing to hear, and even more so when I saw this same ethos practiced everyday at work.”

- Engineer, commenced in 2022
