2IC Catering Manager - Ramsay Health Plus - Berkeley Vale PrivateThis is a permanent part-time role available for an individual with a passion for delivering healthy, high-quality and nutritious food.About the RoleIn this role you will assist with manage the overall operations of the Hospitality department at Berkeley Vale Private in line with legislation, infection control policies and the organisation strategic direction.You will be responsible for food preparation for patients, functions, ensuring a high standard in quality of Hospital food production and cleanliness within the department in line with required Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policy.This is a fast-paced role that requires strong time management to effectively meet the needs of the organisation's food services. Flexibility will be required as while you will be based at Berkeley Vale. With oversight of Housekeeping while Hotel Services Manager is on leave,About YouTo succeed in this role you will be an experienced catering professional with proven experience in large-scale culinary leadership, with hospital, medical or hotel experience being ideal for this role.You will bring a keen grasp of food safety programs and be a strong leader to your team with the capability to manage labour and product KPI's/budgeting.You will also bring;
- Experience within a catering management position, ideally within hospitals/health care.
- Must have bulk cooking experience
- Roster skills
- Experienced in rostering, purchasing, product specification, stock control, diet codes, recipe and computerised menu systems
- Food Safety Supervisor is desirable
- Any Catering/Hospitality qualifications or trade qualifications as a Chef will be highly regarded.
- Strong computer skills are essential with any experience with large production catering software being highly regarded.
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
