Ox Engineering is currently seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join their team!
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Based in Canning Vale, Ox Engineering is a rapidly growing business as a local manufacturer and supplier of custom engineered products for the transport, mining, exploration drilling and processing industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be enrolled to completed a full-time Mechanical Fitting apprenticeship supported by Ox Engineering and a nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist qualified tradesmen with day-to-day tasks
- Truck wheelbase and chassis modifications
- Assembly of new truck and trailer equipment builds
- Assembly & modification to drill rigs, support trucks, auxiliary trucks, rod loaders and associated drilling-based equipment.
- Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile mining and transport equipment
- Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Currently at a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice
- Driver's license (manual preferred, but not essential)
- Forklift license (highly regarded but not essential)
- Own tooling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- Understand and abide by Workplace Health and Safety Regulations
- Ability to work in a team
