Treasury's Performance and Planning Team is seeking a Director to lead a small team and mature the Department’s approach to Performance and Planning.
About the Role
The Performance and Planning Team within Treasury’s Corporate Division supports the Secretary to discharge their corporate reporting obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and supporting instruments. This includes providing the Department with support, expert advice and effective frameworks to ensure meaningful and compliant measurement and reporting of Performance through Treasury’s Corporate Plan, Annual Performance Statement, and Annual Report.
The Director, Performance and Planning will:
- lead a small team to continuously improve governance frameworks, mature the department’s approach to Performance and Planning, and deliver specialist advice and services;
- develop and implement strategic direction for the team, and manage competing priorities effectively;
- build team capability through coaching, providing performance feedback and encouraging career development;
- develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- prepare reports and present advice to enterprise governance committees.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record of successful delivery of governance functions in the public service.
Knowledge and experience of relevant Commonwealth legislation, policy and guidance is required.
