Australian Ocean Biotechnology has been in the Aquaculture Industry for 24 years and we are now looking for a person with Abalone Grow-Out experience who is ready to lead a small Grow-out team as a Grow-Out Manager/Supervisor.

- The position is almost entirely hands on.

The Grow-Out Manager will be responsible for all of the day to day Grow-Out operations on a Land Based Abalone Farm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving small teams of staff to work productively and effectively.
- A Continuous Improvement mindset and culture will be apart of the role.
- Planning and assisting with stock movement, grading and sorting abalone
- Upholding and maintaining high standards for General Husbandry including Feeding, cleaning stock movement.
- Harvest, pack and dispatch and deliver stock
- Assist Farm Manager in creating and implementing stock movement and harvest schedules, rostering, to meet or improve budgets and deadlines.
- Up hold the team to high standards and drive team improvement of standards.
- Assist with maintenance tasks as required
- Planning deliveries and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
Remuneration is flexible for the right candidate, pay rate equivalent of $35-$40 per hour, possibility for team and production productivity improvement bonuses.
AOB also has System Research and Development projects underway for Abalone Farming as well as process development projects underway, that are aimed at innovating the Abalone Industry.
AOB also have 2 new species projects that are underway and you can be apart of the ground breaking work on these species.
