Academic Services Assistant

We now have an opportunity for a passionate and experienced administrator to join our team within the Academy as an Academic Services Assistant.

• Full time, continuing role – 36.25 hours per week 
• HEWL 4: $66,532 - $70,676 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation
• Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas or Cairns Nguma-bada campus. 

This role will involve providing efficient student administration services, completing tasks to a high-quality standard, and contributing to the overall success of our Academic Services team. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality, customer-focused services and ensuring that all data entry, administration, and processing are carried out in accordance with established processes and timeframes. Your contribution to fostering a high-performance culture within the Academic Services function will be instrumental, as you collaborate with your colleagues, embracing teamwork, respect, and innovation. 

Our ideal candidate is someone who possesses excellent organisational and time management skills. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines, using informed judgment to ensure efficient operations. Effective written and oral communication skills are also essential, as you will be delivering a customer-centric service with positive outcomes. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with students, academic staff and other colleagues across the University. Proficiency in computer skills and data entry, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite and other specialist student and learning related software, will also be key to your success.
