Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be at the heart of our Front Office and Housekeeping departments, driving efficiency and opportunity in all aspects of our business. A key to your success will be in creating lasting relationships with all stakeholders, communication of innovative and well-planned initiatives, backed by collaborative action to drive financial plan results, including revenue, cost control, business growth and profit.
About the role
- Lead and support all aspects of Front Office and Housekeeping operations in attaining financial and operational objectives by fostering a positive culture, setting clear expectations, ensuring accountability, and implementing policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of strategies to elevate the guest experience, from check-in to check-out.
- Drive the optimisation of technology such as the Infor HMS property management system, SwiftPOS point of sales system, and other software such as Optii necessary for running an elite operation.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel's policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, or Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Four years of rooms division experience with at least two years in a leadership role.
- A flair for collaborative leadership, with refined interpersonal skills and a die-hard passion for caring for and developing your team members.
- A good understanding of the industry, market trends, competitors, and revenue management principles, with a proven track record in driving onsite incremental revenue opportunities.
- Experience with driving a professional front desk upselling program will be highly regarded.
- A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and have an open mind around how we can drive our business forward.
- Strong business acumen, including a hunger for maximising IT innovation, with the ability to make sound decisions and understand the commercial implications.
- Highly presentable with excellent networking capabilities.
- A willingness to work weekends and operational shifts as the business demands.
- Sound understanding of fire evacuation and workplace safety procedures.
