SalaryWe are currently looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team . You will be working out of our office in West Perth and be a part of a tight knit team. You will have proven experience in providing a professional, timely, confidential and accurate service to our internal and on-hired staff and clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing weekly payroll using Xero
- Processing superannuation and Payroll tax
- Addressing employee payroll queries and leave requests
- Accounts payable
- Following up invoice payments
- ATO reporting
- Bank reconciliation
- Preparing quarterly BAS
- Preparing weekly IAS
- General admin duties - data entry, maintaining accurate employee records
It is expected you will have:
- Previous work experience in a payroll and invoicing environment, preferably in the mining or labour hire industry
- Experience in utilising Xero
- Demonstrated ability to maintain concentration in a volume processing activity such as data entry to ensure accuracy and identify errors to be addressed
- A demonstrated ability to comply with set policies and procedures but to apply initiative to improve these where required
- Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to plan and coordinate workloads to achieve goals and meet deadlines under pressure
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, establish priorities, use initiative and be proactive in raising and dealing with issues
