Our client one of Australia's largest, protein/meat/Seafood manufacturer with a long history of producing quality products sold through the retail and foodservice channels. After steady growth over the past ten years, they are investing further and continuing to grow the Food Service division. As a result of these growth plans, a great opportunity has become available for a BDM/Key Account Manager to manage their Foodservice/Wholesale channel.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the State Sales/Operations Manager, the BDM/Key Account Manager will enhance key relationships with End-Users & Wholesalers while looking to develop new business. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage key relationships with End-Users & wholesalers.
- Develop and implement short and long-term strategies and joint business plans.
- Review your market and communicate trends, developments, and new strategy ideas to the wider business.
- Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure consistent delivery and service to the customer.
- Strong Account Management experience within the Foodservice channel
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to generate sales with maximum margin.
- Experience working for a food manufacturer in protein or strong foodservice background is favorable.
- Great commercial acumen and experience managing key end-users/wholesalers.
- Excellent relationship and influencing skills.
- High energy and highly motivated to be out seeing your customers – very autonomous role.
