As an Insurance Broker, you will work closely with our customers to understand their business and manage their insurance program. You will liaise with insurers to ensure that they are adequately covered.
About you
- You have previous experience in the insurance industry (underwriting experience is advantageous).
- You are a broker experienced in placing insurance in domestic and SME
- You have thorough knowledge of all major quoting platforms.
- You have knowledge of broking compliance requirements.
- You adopt a proactive approach to all aspects of account management, new business, and service delivery.
- You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable and confident relating to customers and attending client and potential client meetings.
- You are tenacious and determined when faced with complex placements or high-volume periods.
- You enjoy being part of a team and collaborating with other departments (underwriting and claims)
- You want to be part of an organisation in a growth period.
About the role
- After training, manage and grow a portfolio of all lines of general insurance, including financial lines.
- Provide guidance and support to clients around insurable risks and a range of insurance products.
- Deliver strong insurance solutions and seek competitive quotations for your clients.
- Process in a timely manner any required invoices, policy accounting information, quotations, premium calculations, COC, and other necessary documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders including clients, underwriters, and insurers.
- Help identify and execute new business opportunities.
