The Role

This role requires you to be a positive and ambitious PR Specialist with a desire to help dynamic clients to make their mark, and in doing so, help build Bud into the leading comms agency in the APAC media, marketing, disruptor and tech space. 

You will also display a passion for helping brands tell their stories in interesting ways; and are joining an agency committed to challenger thinking and one that prioritises a tight-knit, collaborative and fun culture. 

Your attributes:

  • A keen interest and passion for B2B and B2C media, disruptor and technology brands

  • The ability to ideate, create and pitch compelling content pieces that are audience-first, while delivering on client outcomes

  • Confidence in attending and contributing to client meetings, and ensuring that deliverables land in a timely manner

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to foster brilliant relationships with media, clients and co-workers

  • A willingness to learn new skills and hone your craft in an exciting, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Excellent organisation and project management skills: You will play a key supporting role in ensuring we stay on track with media relations management, hitting project timelines and landing agreed deliverables.

  • Relationship building: You will quickly build rapport with journalists and key media stakeholders, ensuring our content and pitches are given the best chance of success.

  • Media Expertise: You will spot news stories, craft a media angle and produce sparkling content that is of interest to key publications.

  • Strategic input: you will feed into client strategies, with a strong ability to draw on insights, data and research.

  • Copywriting skills: You need to be hot on spelling and grammar as well as having creative flair for producing engaging and intelligent copy.

  • A growth mindset: You will work as part of a small, growing team to effectively deliver excellent results for clients. 

  • Presentation skills: From communicating ideas to your team to presenting stories to journalists, you need to organise information in a succinct and interesting way to capture their attention. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills: Whether it’s over the phone, by email or in person, at Bud we’re all about people, so you need to be approachable, friendly and empathetic, and be able to relate to people on different levels within the agency, with clients, partners and with the media.

  • Brilliant time management: You will often be working to tight media deadlines, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.

  • Expected start date for role: 01 July 2024
  • Expected salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
