We are seeking an experienced Account Manager/BDM who enjoys a high level of customer interaction and relationship building to join our sales team based in Dandenong South. In this role you will grow a specific packaging segment by managing assigned accounts while supporting sales pipeline development through lead generation. You will drive sales growth through new business opportunities as well as business development of stable accounts. Integral to the role, you will build on customer relationships by maintaining ongoing contact with them and managing solutions that will provide customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an existing portfolio of customers utilising other areas of the business and departments where applicable.
- Request quotations, place orders and follow through with internal sales team and customer service.
- Assist Management in establishing selling prices and opportunities for price increases.
- Maintain customer specifications and Sales Records.
- Forward plan customer requirements where possible to ensure a smooth continuity of supply.
- Provide a weekly sales report including clients visited on a day-to-day basis with comments on Customer and Competitor activity.
- Report on new market and development opportunities.
- Achieve a substantial call rate, incorporating Account Management and cold calling prospective clients.
- Be available to attend appropriate training courses, trade shows, and seminars to increase product knowledge.
