YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Due to exciting growth in the business, we are looking for a commercially astute Senior Account Manager, experienced in servicing the mining sector, to understand and manage the needs of our key customer.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will proactively look for solutions that drive the right outcome for our customer and business. With an already established customer network, you will be the go-to person for our customers on the ground. Be there to support them through every project, challenge or function, utilising the wide Blackwoods network to provide exceptional customer service.

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Identifying, evaluating and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
  • Build and maintain customer relationships with new and existing customers
  • Utilise enhanced problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations and provide high end solutions
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders 
  • Conduct regular market and competitor activity analysis to influence the sales strategy
  • Draft and conduct presentations to key stakeholders to maximise value
  • Attend industry networking events, conferences and other business opportunities to positively represent the company and drive brand awareness
  • There will be an expectation of regular state-wide travel as part of the duties of this role

 To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven track record in a senior sales role servicing the mining industry
  • Proven track record of successfully developing key accounts and achieving sales budget
  • Existing customer network in Tier 1 Mining companies & Contractors
  • High level of business and commercial acumen
  • Extensive problem-solving skills to enable successful management of the account
  • The ability to work autonomously whilst collaboratively across different teams
  • Comprehensive computer and Microsoft office skills
  • Good understanding of supply chain and previous exposure to safety and apparel products is highly desirable
