Founded in Australia in 2015, WYWM is rapidly growing a global footprint in the United Kingdom and North America, supporting hundreds of government, Defence, and commercial clients. Our proprietary technology platform, Potential, enables efficient skills-based workforce management through psychometric, aptitude, and capability assessments, career matching, upskilling, job placement, and career management.
As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an Account Manager join our Australian Sales & Customer Success Team. The successful candidate will work under broad direction to ensure the successful strategic partnership of WYWM across the Federal Government; ensuring successful delivery of current commitments, drive account growth and new business opportunities aligned with WYWM’s business strategy and relevant Defence and APS workforce strategies.
This position offers remote work, primarily collaborating with clients located in the Canberra region.
The role
Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the successful candidate in this role will:
- Work under broad direction to ensure a successful strategic partnership between WYWM the Federal Government.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships across organisational levels with customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders with diverse objectives.
- Drive growth in our existing Government and Defence portfolio.
- Manage the commercial outcomes of accounts, with support from the broader business.
- Advise on applicable standards, tools, and policies relevant to our work with government, including but not limited to workforce, technical and financial policy.
- Understand, evaluate, and communicate the impact of new technologies and services that apply to WYWM’s business strategy, and have the ability to provide added value to our customers and stakeholders.
- Apply innovative thinking and design practices to identify solutions that will deliver value for the benefit of the customer and stakeholders.
- Clearly demonstrate impactful communication skills (oral, written and presentation) in both formal and informal settings, articulating complex ideas to broad audiences.
- Takes initiative to advance own skills and identify and self-manage development opportunities.
- Proactively contributes to the implementation of appropriate working practices and culture, including security, privacy and ethical considerations.
- Generate and nurture the pipeline of new sales opportunities with customers aligned to our vision and strategy.
- Manage and coordinate specialist resources to contribute to successful customer outcomes
Essential Criteria:
- Australian Citizenship with a current, or willingness to gain a security clearance at a minimum of Baseline
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in Defence (preferred) or Public sector, either in HR/people management or B2B services/software.
- Demonstrable skills in end-to-end B2B technology solutions and a proven record of meeting and exceeding customer targets and accountabilities
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to streamline sales processes, track customer interactions, and manage accounts effectively.
- Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
- Develops and maintains effective customer relationships at executive levels and qualifies new sales leads.
- Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
- Identifies, evaluates and recommends options to improve client relationships and generate new/expanded business opportunities.
- Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Seeks to fully address client needs and implements solutions if required.
- Enhances the capabilities and effectiveness of clients, by ensuring that proposed solutions are fully understood and appropriately exploited.
- Willingness to continually network, build new relationships and represent WYWM at key industry events.
- A strong understanding of Defence and, or, government people, technology, and procurement policies
