The opportunity

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients, fostering long-lasting relationships built on trust and integrity. As we continue to expand, we're seeking a talented Account Manager to join our Queensland team and contribute to our ongoing success.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with our clients within the healthcare, industrial, food and beverage and hospitality industries, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing their portfolios while striving to deliver exceptional service and solutions. This role requires a blend of customer focus and strong communication skills.

This position will require you to be in the field, engaging in hands-on sales and service activities. Extensive travel will be necessary, as well as face-to-face appointments with clients. Additionally, you will utilise electronic methods such as video and phone calls to engage with customers.

Your key responsibilities will be 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor, whilst maintaining onsite equipment.
  • Understand clients' business objectives and proactively identify opportunities to add value through our products/services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for existing account growth and upselling additional products/services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure delivery of solutions and resolve any client issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and other documentation as needed to secure new business and renew existing contracts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and other performance metrics as defined by management.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators.

What we are looking for in you

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role, preferably in account management or sales.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and techniques along with being confident at “cold calling” and opening new doors. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities, with a focus on delivering win-win solutions for both the client and the company.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
  • A passion for building relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for exceeding targets and achieving goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong technical skills and a solution-based approach to effectively address client needs and provide innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations necessary for sales and service activities.
  • Experience or knowledge of the chemical industry preferred but not essential.
