About the role:
We are looking for an Account Manager with proven sales success, selling a complex service to large Commercial and industrial customers to join our Melbourne CBD team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Commercial and Industrial, you will maintain and administer existing electricity and gas contracts and secure new business with major customers with an electricity load of greater than 10GWh per annum and gas consumption of greater than 10TJ per annum.
In this role, you’ll be:
Sourcing and securing contracts, in line with sales targets through recontracting and acquiring new business.
Managing all aspects of the customer transaction from the initial proposal through to contract execution
Implementing detailed action plans and sales strategies that are designed to deliver outcomes in accordance with the approved business plan.
Interface closely with other departments and service providers to ensure that related issues are dealt with adequately.
Ensure that your activity maintains and promotes professional standards, the values of the organisation and complies with regulatory requirements.
Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:
Account management and business development experience gained within a complex B2B sales environment.
A thorough understanding of the gas and electricity industry.
A good understanding of the resources, manufacturing and energy sectors.
Proven ability to deliver on operational sales strategies.
Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts with a focus on continuous improvement.
