- Highly regarded firm owned by a global investment fund.
- Newly created full-time permanent opportunity based in the Sydney CBD.
- Competitive salary in line with what will be an ever-evolving and dynamic role.
Our client is a well-established international investment and asset management firm that invests in agribusinesses in Australia and across Europe. Established in Australia close to ten years ago, they’ve engrained themselves well into the country’s horticultural space, and are considered a leader in this area, with a committed responsibility to investing and implement best practices, particularly in the areas of sustainability, employee health & safety, and the environment. What has been identified as absolutely critical in recent expansion, is hiring a high-level Office Manager that can assist with the office establishment, implementation of processes, and building of key relationships. This is a unique, highly autonomous and project-orientated role that will be suitable for applicants with demonstrated Office Management experience.
The Responsibility
The responsibilities of this role will vary as the office evolves. During the initial stages, the successful candidate will assist with the relocation to a new and bigger office. The responsibilities will also include:
- Ensuring the office runs seamlessly, ranging from stationery, IT services, mail couriers and kitchen supplies;
- Reception – be the ‘face’ of the Sydney office and an integral component between local and international operations;
- Working closely with the accounts, tax, banking and payroll teams;
- AV/IT support for meeting rooms as required
- Organising and booking international and domestic travel for staff, including flights, accommodation, transfers, restaurant bookings;
- Nourishing relationships with clients, colleagues and providers;
- Financial management including credit cards, expenses, invoices, and budgets
- Social calendar management, including team, internal and external/client events.
The successful applicant will have a wealth of experience in a similar role within a financial services, private equity or investment management firm. You will be flexible, proactive and willing to put in the hard yards to ensure the successful and smooth running of the office. In addition to this, you will be articulate, corporately presented, and confident with your decision-making skills. You will have experience in relocating and setting up an office, strong project management skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and manage vendors. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a ‘start-up style’ office that is part of a larger global business.
