ABOUT THE ROLE:
The primary goal of the Account Manager is to increase the sales of the Quotec software users. For this the Account Manager will receive a base salary and a commission based on a formula on the increase in sales. Basically, the position is a paid position of a business within a business.
We are looking for highly motivated individual with experience working as an Account Manager in a related industry with a proven track record in sales. The candidate will work closely with our existing client base and supply chain network with the sole initiative to build ongoing relationships and encourage sales.
The position requires the Account Manager to work closely with the On-Boarding team and will be responsible for setting up members with the appropriate subscription model suited to their needs. This component of the role requires the Account Manager to have a good understanding manufacturing supply chain process through to retail customer sales. This knowledge will then be transferred to provide technical advice and recommendations to members on best opportunities and benefits from their subscription package.
The Account Manager will oversee member sales and software engagement and will be able to provide reporting and feedback to management of user groups, new sales opportunities, or lack thereof. Commissions on member sales will also be accrued and awarded back to the Account Manager.
KIPS
- Foster communication and encourage sales within user groups.
- Ability to understand the needs of the user and convert those requirements to sales.
- Closely monitor data and statistics of member groups and provide reporting to management on user engagement and sales.
- Provide support and training to users following onboarding.
- Liaise and foster ongoing relationships with suppliers and facilitate appropriate customer referrals.
- Facilitate implementation of new material products and/or prices out to user groups.
- Ability to accurately interpret customer sales to supplier groups and calculate rebate accruals.
- Obtain customer feedback on products and services and report back to management.
- Seek opportunities to streamline workflows and increase product/service offerings between supplier and user.

- High degree of sales skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to converse with variety of stakeholders at appropriate level.
- High level of computer/software competency and ability to troubleshoot issues and provide assistance and recommendations to end user.
- Genuine and friendly disposition and ability to service the needs of the client.
- High attention to detail and ability to keep accurate CRM records, notes and follow ups of tasks.
- Business acumen and knowledge building/trade industry.
