About the role
This great opportunity is a very hands-on, all-round Accountant role reporting direct to the Finance Manager.
The position is well suited to an Accountant who is happy to be agile and able to perform tasks ranging from transactional level support up to higher level financial and management accounting.
The position sits in a small & friendly team that shares a collaborative spirit. As such, this role is not suited to an Accountant who sees themselves as being above certain tasks & isn't willing to get their hands dirty when it comes to providing support at the AR, AP and payroll level.

You day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Processing General Ledger, including allocation of costs and receipts to appropriate Staff/Departments/Learning Areas
- Preparing monthly general ledger and weekly bank reconciliations
- Supporting the Accounts Payable function including supplier reconciliations and payments and acting as a back-up resource.
- Supporting the Fees function including monthly reporting, receipting and debtor management and acting as a back-up resource
- Assist with ensuring Goods and Service Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax compliance
- Assisting with Payroll, Superannuation, Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Long Service Leave, Workcover and associated payroll requirements.
- Review fortnightly payroll payments and monthly superannuation payments.
- Assist with the annual external audit process.
- Duties as required and directed by the College Executive or Finance Manager
Your Profile
- Ideally CPA/CA or similar
- Tertiary degree in Commerce or related field
- Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Professional with strong verbal and written commination.
- Ability to multitask and handle different priorities
- Team minded, collaborative, and able to bring a sense of personality.
- A Working with children and police check will need to be obtained for the successful candidate
