Hawthorn Specialist Clinic is expanding and we are seeking a qualified and experienced Surgical Dental Assistant with administration experience to join our team.

The successful candidate would need to work well as a part of a team, be confident, friendly, enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge.
The Role `
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Assisting for surgical procedures within the clinic and operating theatres.
- Excellent infection control skills.
- Experience in sterilisation processes.
- Management and smooth running of the surgeon sessions.
- Maintaining and fostering close professional relationships and liaison with external stakeholders associated with the practice.
- General office and administration duties: patient accounts, billing, diary management, appointment confirmations and rescheduling of patients.
To be successful, you will require:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting is a requirement.
- 3+ years’ experience in dental assisting.
- Knowledge of Gentu software is desirable.

- Hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Have exceptional customer service skills, a strong work ethic and enthusiastic.

- A caring and friendly personality that will motivate those around you.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and show initiative: Proven ability to organise, plan, prioritise and co-ordinate own workload.
- Current drivers licence.
- The ability to work flexibly in a team environment.
