What you will be doing and will be responsible for:
The firm is a metropolitan and regional accounting and business services firm. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated qualified Accountant to join our professional staff on a full-time basis (minimum 4 days per week) with the longer-term potential of becoming a partner/equity holder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct consultation with a broad range of individual, and small business clients
- Provide tailored accounting and taxation advice, specific to each client’s circumstances
- Preparation of financial statements and taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in public accounting/tax preparation
- Proficiency in various accounting software packages (Xero, MYOB, Reckon, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax Law, CGT, GST, Payroll, and Superannuation
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and identity issues,
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
