We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our rapidly expanding team at Focuslift Forklifts Pty Ltd, a leading wholesaler of forklifts, parts, and accessories. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial health and ensuring our business remains in a strong financial position as we grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all financial transactions, including those related to warehouse equipment wholesales, are accurately recorded and maintained according to statutory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, closely monitoring expenditures and identifying financial variances.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management to review operational effectiveness and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory tax and financial reporting requirements, including BAS, GST, payroll, and other taxes.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and perform cost reduction research to recommend strategies to improve financial health and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow related to operations and sales of new and used equipment, ensuring liquidity for operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate calculation, disbursement, and record-keeping of employee payments.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure financial compliance and integrity.
- Use current sales trends and market data to forecast future financial performance, aiding in long-term planning and investment decisions.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders that outline financial performance, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic investment decisions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of full-time experience in a commercial business environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in budgeting and reporting.
- Familiarity with the financial reporting and regulatory environment in China to manage and record revenue transactions with overseas suppliers effectively.
- Ability to navigate and reconcile differences between Australian and Chinese financial practices and regulations.
