About the Job PositionAs a qualified candidate, you will be expected to perform the below duties and responsibilities:
Interview and assist walk-in clients to our office. Manage group of business & individual clients;Assist in setting up MYOB accounting systems according to business clients' customised requirements by working at client's business premises;Assist in setting up payroll systems for business clients;Prepare and lodge monthly or quarterly BAS Statements and IAS Statements for business clients under the supervision of registered tax agents;Prepare financial reports for business clients, and other organisations, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities under the strict supervision of registered tax agents;Prepare tax returns for individual and business clients, and other organisations;Examine/audit accounts and financial records and compute tax owed according to prescribed rates, laws and regulations;Provide assurance to the accuracy of information in financial reports and their compliance with taxation law and ATO legislations;Provide accounting and financial advice for business clients by monitoring their operating cost, capital budgets & cash flow, and analysing business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues;Work with business clients to develop all the relevant financial budgetary policies in order to ensure standardisation and sound internal control of the clients' business;Conduct financial investigations on suspected frauds, strengthen internal control systems, undertake internal audits, and provide taxation advice on most cost effective business operations and structure for the business clients;Conduct company secretary services, i.e. completing and lodging statutory forms and reporting to ASIC, Fair trading Office, etc;Other accountant duties as assigned.To be successful in the role you will need the following attributes;- Accounting related tertiary degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, candidates with relevant industry experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Process driven, can demonstrate proven ability to identify and implement business improvement processes
- A team player with a "can-do" attitude
- Committed to deadlines, and able to perform well under pressure
- Attention to details
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, sound experience in using MYOB system
