About the Role:
As an Accountant at One Task, you will be accountable for a variety of essential bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable and more. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, liaising with accounting firms and applying accounting standards to all related tasks.
Besides the tasks listed above, you will be assisting the CFO and contributing to more advanced accounting tasks, such as setting up loan applications, international consolidations, capital management and more. By the end of your casual employment contract, you will have a comprehensive understanding of all accounting concepts
We are initially offering a casual contract, however, after we determine an appropriate work schedule, you will transfer to permanent part-time. Initially, working hours will be between 10-20 hours per week, depending on our varying needs and your other commitments. You must be residing in Australia with the right to work to be eligible for this position. This role will be predominantly remote (home office). We require someone who can start almost immediately.

Application Criteria:
To be successful at this role you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar
- Experience in remote accounting work
- Proficiency in Xero
- Ability to work in a small team and autonomously
- Demonstrated experience in many or all of the responsibilities listed below
- Confidence to take on the more advanced accounting tasks overtime
Responsibilities:
As an Accountant at One Task, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for
- Processing all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments
- Reconciling bank statements, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate account balance
- Managing staff superannuation contributions, wages or other entitlements
Responsible for
- Fixing historical accounts and record keeping
- Setting up Xero accounts for the remainder of the group structure
- Preparing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and business activity statements
Contributing to
- Setting up internal transfer and other transactions between australian and international companies
- Loan applications and capital management
- Establish management key performance indicators
