Central Foundry is a 100% Australian owned family business. Established in 1927 it is now one of the larger non-ferrous foundries in NSW. Over the years we have continued to upgrade our equipment and technology making us the preferred supplier for many different industries.
Due to an internal restructure, we are looking for an Accountant - General to oversee the day to day running of the business and provide support to other team leaders. You will take control of all reporting, revenue management, taxation compliance, payroll and HR policies whilst also working closely with sales staff to monitor the rapidly changing commodities environment.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be degree qualified and have had at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. Experience within the manufacturing industry will also be highly regarded.
In addition to having a strong understanding of revenue and cashflow management, you will also need to be up to date with all current Fair Work and HR policies. We are looking for someone who can take this department and turn it into their own and ultimately reduce our reliance on our external accountant. This role will suit someone looking for a long term role who wants to become part of the business and see it grow.
Working closely with all team members, including the external accountant, key duties include:
- Revenue & costing report management and analysis
- Monthly reporting including profit and loss
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Fixed Assets register maintenance
- Preparation of all Compliance documents including BAS, Payroll Tax, Land Tax etc
- Assisting and training accounts payable and receivable
- Variance analysis and commentary on monthly reports - this will involve working closely with all sales managers and running monthly meetings
- Expense and cost management - will involve closely monitoring metal prices and keeping sales staff informed of price variances
- Process improvement
- Management of all HR polices including payroll
A competitive Salary between $75,000 - $85,000 plus super will be offered to the successful candidate (dependent on experience).
