Bean Alliance Group is looking for a qualified, experienced and motivated Accountant to join its Accounts team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or a closely related field as well as qualified work experience working within an internal accounts team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Prepare monthly management report.
· Assist with expense budgetary for the financial year.
· Prepare financial statements and compare and report the variance on expense budgeted figures with the actual figures to stakeholders.
· Draft statutory account.
· Assist in internal audit, preparing reports, formalizing company accounting policies and ensuring compliance with company’s policies and statutory requirements.
· Work closely with internal parties to optimise workflow, including always looking for new ways to improve and streamline accounting processes and procedures.
· Lodgement of monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS) to the Australian Taxation Office.
· Calculate and lodge Fringe Benefit Tax on company’s vehicles.
· Prepare and lodge tax returns.
· Assess company cash flow weekly and devise strategies for lowering operating costs and increasing expenditure.
· Inform relevant staff or departments about any specific internal control systems to ensure compliance with the company’s policies.
· Update Company’s Asset registration.
· Review and process invoices and vendor expense, including reconciling account ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy.
· Co-ordinate the creation and maintaining of new vendors accounts and follow up.
· Prepare and perform payment runs including trade refinance, ensuring payments are processed efficiently and in accordance with cash flow.
· Coordinating with banks, lenders and other financial bodies/institutions.
· Provide general advice on any other relevant accounting and financial matters that arise.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting or a closely related field.
· Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar Accounting role.
· Intermediate knowledge of how to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Proficient knowledge of how to operate Microsoft GP and other accounting specific programs.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Positive, approachable and self-motivated with a desire to learn.
· Ability to use multiple systems and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Service oriented.
· Ability to manage and diffuse difficult situations.
· Problem-solving skills and ability to follow through to resolution.
· Strong communication and listening.
· Ability to work both in a team and independently.
· Ability to adapt to dynamic industry and fast-paced administrative team.
· Must have 3+ years coffee industry experience in accounting.
· International FX accounting specifically to trade with partner in APAC region.
Job details:
This is a fulltime permanent position working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work at our head office located in Reservoir, Melbourne.
