Accountant

Edward Mann is currently recruiting for a logistics solutions provider based in Padstow NSW. 
It is a 6-month with a high chance of being converted to a permanent position and paying up to $110k + Super. 

They are looking for an Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager and to manage the top to bottom accounting function and play a vital role in the company.

The business operates in a flexible working model and have free on-site parking.

Responsibilities 

• Top to bottom Accounting Function 
• Management and Accounting for the AP/AR Functions
• Maintenance of the General Ledger
• Maintenance & Reconciliation of the Fixed Assets Register
• BAS Returns
• Complete daily bank reconciliations
• Assist with Payroll (working with external provider)
• Other ad hoc accounting activities 

Ideal Candidate

• Solid understanding of accounting concepts and general ledger maintenance
• Experience with Xero - desirable but not essential 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently when required
• Excellent problem-solving skills & time management skills with the ability to effectively manage deadlines and conflicting priorities. 
• Ability to work autonomously
