Home Caring is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer with a great mix of enthusiasm and attention to detail. We have a faced-paced work environment with lots of growth opportunities, so will suit someone with a hands on and flexible work approach.

Position description
This role handles the Accounts Receivable function at Home Caring. This will involve:
- Accurate and timely processing of client accounts, including billing of fees and charges, receipting, direct debits administration, reconciliations and the production of statements.
- Maintain debtor accounts in allocated portfolio of businesses and client groups within approved credit terms and conditions.
- NDIS claiming through PRODA.
- Administer funding claims and receipts from other sources such as Medicare, Centrelink, Plan Managers and private payers.
- Prepare refund requests for approval.
- Researching and investigating the accuracy of charges.
- Close monitoring of receivables reports to minimise overdue accounts and proactively following up collections.
- Support accounting team(s) with timely and accurate information to assist with preparation of revenue accruals.
- Assist in streamlining the Accounts Receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Integrity and confidentiality in when dealing with private/sensitive information.
- Other accounts and administration duties as directed by manager
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ Accounts Receivable experience (end to end)
- Solid understanding of basic accounting, fair credit practices and collections regulations/guidelines.
- Proficient in use of a range of business technology, particular MS Office suite
- Customer service focus with an empathetic, professional manner
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management, ability to work to deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task across a busy workload
- Self-starter who works well autonomously and also collaborates well as a team member
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
- Operating effectively in a complex, high-volume environment with multiple group entities
- Experience within the home care, disability or aged care services or health care sectors highly desirable
