Address We are an accounting/tax agent firm working to help small and medium-sized businesses or individual to achieve their full potential with comprehensive financial and accounting services. We are currently seeking to add another valued accountant into our team. This full time role is to support the existing accounting team with workflow and will have various tasks covering all aspects of the tax and financial accounting world.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receiving source information from clients and review information (both English and Chinese).
• Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for clients - Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's).
• Providing accounting support and services under the direction of senior accountant.
• Assisting senior accountant in summarizing current financial status by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports.
• Advising clients on tax planning and tax issues associated with business activities.
• Management of client reporting, liaising directly with clients to ensure information is received on a timely basis.
• Preparation of tax returns, Goods and services tax (GST) returns, business activity statements and instalment activity statement for clients.
• Liaising with clients, providing financial information and advice (finance report).
• Liaising with clients and providing company secretary service and advice (ASIC).
• Advising clients in relations to register new company, apply TFN/ABN/GST/PAYG.
• Visiting clients to carry out work if required.
• Helping to identify, research and resolve complex accounting & tax issues.
• Management of queries received from clients.
• Discuss client's business issues with principal.
• Supervising supporting staff.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
• A bachelor degree or higher qualification in relevant field of study.
• Minimum two years of local experience in accounting and taxation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to follow processes.
• Ability of working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Highest standard of ethics, confidentiality and professionalism
• Ability to work to deadlines with good prioritization and time management skills.
• Multi-language skills are highly regarded.
