Accountant / Bookkeeper

Creating custom freight forwarding and logistics solutions, this leader has 4 offices across Australia and have been operating strong for over 40 years. 

This is a fabulous opportunity for an Accountant / Bookkeeper to join this dedicated team that are a

globally recognised brand that offers excellent customer service to its customers.

The Position

The Account/Bookkeepers position will manage the end-to-end accounting function for our global operations and continue to develop and streamline processes and procedures.  You will work closely with another accountant, and report directly to the Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Debt collection
• Daily cashflow planning
• IATA lodgements
• Debtor and creditor reconciliations
• Payment of creditors
• Bank reconciliations. 
• Amex platform account and statements
• Lodgment of quartly BAS’s & monthly PAYG
• Sales commissions payable to employees and profit share distributions to directors
• Liaising with the eternal accountants

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 5 years in a similar role. It is not essential to have CA or CPA qualifications.
• Self-motivated individual 
• Previous experience in freight or a logistics business preferred but not essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of improving and developing procedures and processes
• Great attention to detail and able to deal with multiple stakeholders.
