Laughing Stock Productions (LSP) is an independent producer for well-established and up and coming Australian comedians.
As a live touring promoter, we nurture creative talent by interpreting artistic requirements into a well-coordinated live on-stage show, for national and international comedy festivals and big multi-city tours.
An opportunity exists for an experienced part time Bookkeeper to join our close-knit team based on Swan Street in Richmond.
The right candidate must be accustomed to a high standard and volume of record keeping, be process driven, able to work under pressure, and ensure objectives are delivered on time.
Main duties / tasks will include:
- Entering expenses and show income / settlements with detail
- Job coding
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
- Quarterly BAS & PAYG preparation
- Annual FBT and End of Year practices
- Payroll & Super administration
- Financial reporting for show & tour settlements
- Quality control – ensure due process is followed
- Liaise with Creative Director, Producer, and Finance Manager
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:
- Advanced MYOB skills (a MUST), Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
- Minimum 5 years experience within a similar bookkeeping role ideally within the entertainment industry
- Self motivation, ability to meet deadlines and work to time restraints
- Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
Tertiary education:
• Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (or similar)
This is a 12 month contract position, one full day a week - with opportunity to extend at the end of the contract period.
Work hours will be between 9.30am – 5.30pm.
The hourly rate will be based on experience and abilities.
Work will be office-based (non negotiable).
