Responsibilities
The Accountant position within our BSD Team provides you with the unique opportunity to work with a diverse client base across a wide range of industry backgrounds, providing innovative solutions while delivering necessary services including, but not limited to, tax compliance reporting. Our Accountants are responsible for independently preparing income tax returns, financial accounts, BAS, and FBT for clients, while assisting managers, partners, and other colleagues in meeting client's needs within time and budget requirements. This position is also responsible for tasks including:
- working collaboratively as an active member of the BSD team, attending meetings, and communicating issues to support continuous quality improvement processes;
- drafting bills for each job, calculating write-ons/write-offs, and analysing reasons for the latter;
- maintaining an understanding of client businesses and highlight areas/strategies to benefit the client;
- assisting with bookkeeping for clients including processing and reconciling transactions and processing payroll; and
- the management of personal workflow to ensures deadlines and budgetary constraints are met.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- have a Bachelor of Accounting;
- have a Master of Accounting (preferred);
- be commencing the CA/CPA program;
- be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite;
- have two (2) to six (6) years’ experience working in a public practice accountancy Firm;
- have a minimum two (2) years’ experience working with Xero and/or MYOB; and
- be a current Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have a suitable working visa.

- demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills;
- demonstrate a high standard of professionalism;
- take responsibility for achieving productive time budget;
- be self-motivated and autonomous in seeking out professional development opportunities; and
- demonstrate high-level technical aptitude, including excellent attention to detail.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 plus super p.a., dependent on the experience of the candidate.
