Windgap is a not-for profit, registered NDIS services provider based in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. We have been dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with intellectual disabilities for over 70 years. We pride ourselves on the quality and range of services which support our participants and create opportunities for them to live their best life the way they want.

Windgap Foundation currently has a Contract Accountant position (Maximum term contract for 13 Months) available within our Finance team. If successful, you will be working Full Time alongside a supportive and experienced team of finance professionals. 

Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial record keeping and reporting as well as operational management of the finance function within Windgap.  

Based in our Banksmeadow Head Office, with free on-site parking, the role responsibilities would include: 

  • Financial Planning - preparing schedules for financial reporting in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Reporting - Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting is presented to the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Operations - monthly BAS returns
  • Operations - conduct daily cash flow management
  • Operations - oversee depreciation schedules and fixed asset register

Some work from home conditions may be considered for the right candidate. 

Essential

  • Bachelor/ Diploma of accounting or equivalent
  • Current CPA Membership
  • Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional accounting training to maintain current accounting standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently whilst contributing to team goals
  • Computer literacy skills, including being a competent user of MS Applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and experience using databases;
  • Be flexible, highly motivated, possess emotional intelligence, and willingness to subscribe to the Windgap mission and values;
  • Maintain current NSW driver’s licence;
  • Maintain an NDISWC Clearance.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV
