Address Reputable company in the food supply industry seeking an Accountant in Echuca Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage analysis, reporting, and forecasting of our food supply chain business.
Coordinate and control expenses, month-end process, ensuring delivery & analysis against internal/external forecasts and business plans.
Strong month-end reporting working to agreed timelines to allow business operators to understand their business.
Assist in the year-end statutory accounts and tax return preparation, liaising with external advisors and accountants.
Experience in, and a strong understanding of taxation - GST, BAS, FBT, Income Tax, and Payroll Tax protocols and requirements.
Assist with preparation of budgets and cash flow modeling, together with forecast and analysis.
Excellent financial acumen in understanding sales objectives, budgets, forecasts, and revenue with the ability to investigate, analyze, and report variances.
Required Skills & Experience:
Tertiary education qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business discipline - CPA/CA qualified.
Can-do attitude - this is a hands-on role that will see you involved in all aspects of the financial function.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, with relevant +4 years' experience in a similar environment.
Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and IFRS.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in using MYOB is desirable.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience within either FMCG or Food supply chain industry is highly regarded.
