Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be responsible for a diverse array of tasks crucial to our client’s financial health. From weekly cash management and forecasting to facilitating bank transactions and settlements, your attention to detail will be paramount. You'll proactively identify and investigate anomalies, ensuring accuracy at all times and you'll be instrumental in preparing month-end journals covering various aspects. You will assist in completing monthly management accounts for our client’s executive team and Board, as well as preparing for the annual audit. This role will extend to generating on-demand internal reports for management and Board purposes and supporting financial modelling initiatives across the organisation. You'll also liaise and collaborate with external accountants and intermediaries for financially traded securities, contributing to the seamless functioning of our client's financial operations.
About you
You hold recognised accounting qualifications (CA/CPA) and a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of financial principles and practices. Proficiency in Xero and Excel is essential, along with a solid foundation in financial reporting and financial modelling. You possess a keen intellect, a proactive attitude and a curious mind, continuously challenging the status quo and driving improvements in financial governance, processes and systems. You will further bring a blend of financial accounting expertise and a data analyst's curiosity, enabling you to effectively liaise and collaborate with external accountants and contribute to the enhancement of our client’s financial operations. An added advantage would be SQL/PowerBI skills and/or a background in energy markets, coupled with exposure to energy trading and hedge accounting.
