Your new role
This is a full-time Accountant position within an industry leading consulting services firm with a blue-chip client base. This role is established as part of the development of the Finance function within JANA.
Some of your duties will include:
- Process daily interfaces between banking systems and XERO General Ledger, bank reconciliations and identification and resolution of issues
- Review of regular payroll calculations and processing
- Process interfaces between payroll system (ADP), expense management system (Flexipurchase) and XERO General Ledger
- Post and reconcile client revenue and receivables
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and supporting working papers
- Prepare monthly management reports and supporting workpapers
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of finance processes
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the finance team of 4 including this role, you should enjoy working to a set weekly and monthly cycle and take a great deal of pride in paying attention to detail whilst always seeking opportunities to improve the company’s financial processes.
- Must have previous hands-on experience with XERO accounting software package
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Sound knowledge of other MS Office products (e.g. Word and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Power BI
- Accounting qualification (degree)
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
