An exciting opportunity is available for an Accountant position, where you will join our young team of hard-working professionals. Our team is dedicated to providing our clients with a service to the highest standard using up to date technology and practice systems with a particular focus on cloud-based accounting.
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic and committed Accountant, who ideally possesses the following:
- Is currently undergoing their CA or CPA studies.
- Has a minimum of 1 year tax & accounting experience, preferably in a public practice accounting firm working with small-to-medium businesses.
- Has experience using cloud based accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks Online and MYOB AccountRight.
- Has some technical skills and knowledge of accounting principles and regulations including Division 7A, GST, FBT, and CGT.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Has the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Has strong dedication to teamwork, a willingness to work hard and is self-motivated.
This is a tax-compliance focused role, and the duties include but not limited to:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, reporting directly to the Partners.
- Providing client advice including tax planning and structuring etc.
- Preparation of financial accounts for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Superannuation Funds and Individuals.
- Preparation of IAS, BAS, FBT, STP Finalisation and TPAR.
- General accounting and bookkeeping.
- Liaison with ATO and other authorities.
- Hands on tax work including Div.7a, FBT, CGT and s100A compliance.
- Business development opportunities and training are available for the right candidate.
