We are looking to hire a full-time Accountant to join our team.
Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly cashflow projections and undertaking variance analysis in accordance with budgeted figures.
- Analyse the monthly accounts of the company and generate reports to the management.
- Assist in the reconciliation of company books for the purpose of preparing company financial statements.
- Budgeting projects and analysing quotes from various subcontractors to undertake project work.
- Undertaking cost estimates for various projects the company intends to undertake and conducting a cost benefit analysis of such projects.
- Assist with providing costing for tenders in accordance with industry standards.
- Liaising with external accounting firms to assist with preparation of quarterly BAS reports and annual financial statements for ATO compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in accounting, business, finance, economics, data science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Basic understanding of financial principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of work.
- Sound understanding of MYOB or Xero software
