Accountant Role | $90,000 + super | Sutherland Shire

Your new company

Our client based in the Sutherland Shire is partnering with us on an exclusive basis to look for an experienced Accountant to join their thriving team on a permanent basis. They specialise in manufacturing and distribution of products, offering services to the mining, construction, engineering and general fabrication industries around Australia. They have just celebrated their 50th birthday, with their very first branch being opened right here in NSW. Since then, they've gone from strength to strength, now being worth over $100m in revenue.

Your new role
As the Accountant, you will be reporting to the Senior Accountant, looking after the end to end finances of the business. Your working hours will be 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. You will sit in a team which includes 5 in the finance team, including yourself. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Accounts payable and receivables support
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Bank reconciliations
• Cash forecasting
• Month end accruals and journals
• Tax preparation and lodgment: BAS (GST), FBT, Payroll Tax, PAYG
• Liaising with external auditors
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly P&L and balance sheet analysis
• Ad-Hoc projects and process improvements

What you'll need to succeed

In order to work with them, there are a few things which are absolutely essential, and a few things that would be preferred. See below...

• CPA/CA Qualification- must be completed (essential)
• Australian Citizen or PR holder (essential)
• Strong communication and ability to work well within a team (essential)
• Experience with Pronto, or similar ERP (preferable)
