AddressOur client is a successful family business with a diversified range of assets include Commercial and Residential Property, Share and Cryptos Portfolio, Farm Agribusiness and a Sporting Goods retail store.
Reporting to the Directors, this role is responsible for recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, providing reports and statements regularly and ‘on demand’, preparing payrolls and performing administration duties within all aspects of the business and office.
This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours a week; two days (9 to 3.30 each day) spent in the Family Business Office located in the Claremont and one day (9 to 4) in the Yangebup retail store.
The vacancy:
- All Accounts Receivable and Payable duties
- Credit control
- Cash handling and banking
- Processing of Payroll and Human Resource related transactions including
Superannuation and PAYG reporting - Completing XERO entries, including ledger, year-end adjustments and reconciliations
- Credit cards reconciliations
- Cash ups with TOWER Retail Manager POS system; importing into the XERO system,
- Preparation of financial and other reporting, regularly and as required,
Liaising with the company Chartered Tax Accountant when preparing relevant information for Tax and other purposes, Accessing the ATO portal and other Govt related portals - Lodgement of BAS and IAS statements
To apply:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with large to middle sized businesses with diversified assets as an Accountant or senior Bookkeeper.
- Degree in Accounting highly desirable or relevant Bookkeeping qualification.
- At least 3 years’ advanced experience in XERO accounting systems
- Experience and good aptitude in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience in TOWER Retail Manager POS system or similar would be an advantage.
In return:
- Part time hours of 20 per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays)
- Work from two locations (Claremont Tue and Thur and Yangebup on a Wednesday).
- Salary of between $95,000 to $100,000 + Super pro rata
