About the role
Reporting to the National Finance Manager, you will be an integral member of the Finance team and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, make it your own and gain satisfaction from process improvement.
This position assists in the financial and management reporting function for a national business with 14 Depots in every State and Territory of Australia.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks such as general ledger entries and recordkeeping
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Maintain and organise financial files and documents
- Handle data entry and ensure proper documentation and filing of financial information.
- Assist with month-end closing and preparation of the monthly P&L
- Assist with Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with Accounts Payable Queries
- Ad hoc projects and process improvements
About you
- To be considered for this opportunity you will have a Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- CPA or equivalent qualification (or working towards completion)
- 1-2 years in a similar role
- Proficient in MS Office Skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent communicator
- Strong attention to detail
- Analyse critically
- Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines
- Experience in Business Central advantageous
- Experience in the transport industry highly regarded
