Accountant

Edward Mann is currently seeking an Accountant to join a well-established Australian-owned manufacturing business that operates across multiple locations in the Northern Rivers region.

In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in the day-to-day financial management of the business, taking charge of tasks such as preparing monthly and annual financial accounts, crafting detailed cost reports and budgets, and ensuring the seamless functioning of financial operations.

The client is looking to pay up to 100k + Super for the right candidate and potentially more for exceptional candidates. This is a 5 days in office role but they do offer other leave related perks.

Responsibilities:

• Compile monthly and yearly financial reports for comprehensive business insight.
• Drive the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts for aligned financial goals.
• Create and maintain precise cashflow forecasts to inform strategic financial planning.
• Develop reports for management and cost centres, offering valuable decision-making support.
• Oversee product costing strategies to optimise pricing and maximise profitability.
• Conduct meticulous reconciliations of the general ledger to ensure financial data accuracy.
• Manage inventory procedures to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of stock levels.
• Manage customer contracts and pricing structures to foster transparent and equitable business transactions.
• Facilitate seamless audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.
• Administer financial systems efficiently to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
• Undertake diverse responsibilities in general accounting and office tasks for smooth business operations.

The Ideal Candidate will have experience with:

• CPA or Equivalent (those not qualified or studying towards will still be considered)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing business (ideal but not essential)
• Cost accounting exposure
• Strong communication / Interpersonal skills
• Key stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Proven analytical background
• Advanced Excel skills (Macro and VBA)
• Large ERP systems experience
