AddressPro Tax Returns have been successfully operating an accounting firm in the heart of Sydney CBD offering a wide variety of accounting services to companies and individuals. We are now seeking an experienced Accountant for a full-time role within our organization.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounting and reporting functions across the business. You will also be involved in quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for company clients as well as providing assistance to individual clients in relation to their annual tax returns and superannuation.
Job Description
- Assisting the business and clients in preparing their tax returns, quarterly and annual statements
- Completing payroll activities on behalf of the company and clients (PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Superannuation)
- Formulating and analyzing regular company reports such as BAS, Profit & Loss, Assets, Cash flow
- Accurately preparing client's trial balance audit, P&L, and BAS reconciliation for approval
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements is met
- Using and maintaining accounting systems
- Assisting company directors with the preparation of forecasts and the annual budget
- Providing support to accounts payable/receivable, debt collections, and bank reconciliations
Requirements
- At least 2 years of practical experience
- Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant field
- Strong understanding of income tax & business activity statements
- Outstanding attention to detail skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Experienced in using accounting systems including MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero
- Ability to communicate properly with all levels of stakeholders
- Living in Sydney would be desired but not essential
- Speaker of Portuguese would be desired but not essential
