About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Accountant based in Sydney. This position will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance functions in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Preparing monthly journals and examining operating costs and organizations income and expenditure to make sure the healthy cash flow of the business and report to directors on monthly basis.
- Maintaining the internal accounting system by using relevant software to make sure the compliance with the legislative requirements for ATO reporting and Trust Account Auditing.
- Assigning work to accounting clerk and admin staff in relation to the invoicing, book-keeping and reconciliation of the accounts and make sure the accuracy of the work delivered.
- Monitoring the accounts payables and receivables regularly.
- Supervising the work by the admin staff and maintaining the internal accounting control system.
- Maintaining contacts with external tax agents in preparing the BAS and Financial Statements, and annual tax return to make sure the tax obligations are met on timely manner.
- Assisting the external auditor regarding the Trust Account Auditing annually and reporting to the directors regarding any issues raised by the auditor.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Bachelor Degree or above in Professional Accounting
- Advanced excel skills will be highly regarded.
- At least three years relevant experiences in accounting as well as real estate industry.
- Holding CPA qualifications or currently pursuing CPA qualifications.
