The Role
We have an opportunity to join a fun, friendly and professional team in our Ballarat office. We are seeking a dynamic, well presented, driven Accountant with relevant experience in an accounting firm. With proven capability managing a portfolio of clients and building new business, you will also possess strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare general work papers and spreadsheets in support of the client’s source documents.
- Complete client data input as required.
- Prepare Interim income tax returns for review.
- Finalize financial statements and income tax returns.
- Provide general assistance with the processing of all bookkeeping and accounting tasks for your team.
- Review and discuss financial statements and tax returns with clients regarding outcomes.
- Provide client assistance with compliance issues related to matters arising from PAYG, GST, Workcover, Superannuation, Centrelink and other government agencies.
Requirements:
- Relevant educational qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years Business Services/Tax experience.
- Demonstrated analytical / problem solving ability.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of Client Service skills.
- Teamwork skills as you will be part of a large team and work collaboratively with your colleagues.
- Experience using Xero, Practice Manager & MYOB cloud-based software preferred.
