Western Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychology Specialist to join our Mental Health and Wellbeing Services.

- Inpatient Services (adult and older persons)
- PARCS at Burnside and Sunshine
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service and Perinatal Mental Health
- Adult and Older Persons Community teams at Sunshine and Melton
We are looking for a dynamic Clinical Psychologist to join our team as we continue to transform how mental health services are being delivered.
The Clinical Psychology Specialist (P4) will provide expert consultation and targeted clinical support, to mental health professionals in relation to consumers presenting with complex and high-risk presentations within the Western Health Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (MHWS). The role acts as a consultant to the full range of programs within the service providing advice regarding the management of clients. In addition, in collaboration with the Psychology Education Team, the Clinical Psychology Specialist will facilitate professional development opportunities focusing on the delivery of brief psychological interventions, complex presentations, risk assessment and suicide prevention.
To be Successful in this Role, you will have:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist within mental health settings;
- Extensive experience in public mental health services;
- Demonstrated clinical experience and advanced knowledge and skills in psychological assessment and treatment; and
- Extensive experience in building relationships and working collaboratively with others
