Our firm
Our firm is a mid-sized CPA public accounting practice operating from Burnie on the NW Coast of Tasmania in modern premises. We focus on delivering a high quality service to our business clients and aim to enhance their financial knowledge. We use software including Xero, MYOB, Access HandiSoft and BGL.
Our core business is working with other small to mid-sized family businesses and assisting them with record keeping, preparation of BAS, payroll guidance, preparation of financial statements & preparation of tax returns as well as business advisory as required. We also provide Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) compliance.
The role & you
We are looking for an Junior/Intermediate Accountant who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and keen to be part of a dynamic team.
The ideal applicant would have completed year 12 and studying towards a degree in accounting/business.
Support will be provided from your peers in all public accounting aspects. You would be someone who can work well both independently and in a team environment, being dedicated to achieving a common goal. Great communication skills and experience with Excel and Word are a must.
You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for our clients. You will also have the opportunity to work one on one with some great clients and build a long term career in a long-standing and well respected firm.
We are happy to continue to develop your knowledge in public practice and provide opportunity for career progression within our firm.
This is a full-time position, however a part time role and work from home flexibility would be considered for the right applicant.
