Junior Accountant

JR & Associates, an accounting firm located in Hobart, is currently hiring a part-time accountant to join this accounting firm. 

The role will consist of three days (22.5 hours) per week and your key areas of responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

• Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small to medium size businesses (bookkeeping)
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements
• Assisting of preparing financial reports
• Assisting of preparing businesses tax returns for varied business types 
• Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory authorities

A desired candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to learn/adapt quickly. 
• A pro-active approach to your work
• Ability to manage high volumes of work and to work to strict deadlines.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• An ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Able to build and maintain client relationships. 

Candidates located in Hobart with the ability to speak a second language (e.g. Chinese) will benefit most from this role.
